AW&W ensure the drinking water supply and wastewater collection and treatment to the city's app. 300.000 inhabitants. Aarhus Water and Wastewater (AW&W) is a department of the Municipality of Aarhus, but is under transition into a public (limited) company with an expected date of registration of January 1st, 2010. AW&W is certified for Environmental Management according to ISO14001 and DH/OHSAS18001, which secures that below mentioned plans and obligations, will be implemented in the organization according to a well defined system with appointed responsible personnel.
